Thanks, but this isn't quite what I mean. I am using the MS Common Dialog FileOpen control for a user to select an image file from their hard drive. It would be better if the image could be previewed on the Common Dialog form but the standard MS control cannot be customised in this way. I have found ways of achieving this in VB6 with a picture box, but the picture box is not available in Access VBA.

I know that this is a compromise, but as I understand it the dialog box 'view' cannot be set at design time. Also I would prefer to have a larger preview.
