If I remember correctly there is a command that will disable PRI channels as they become idle. What is that command to do that?

Sorry, that last command of..

DISI card Digital card is disabled only when all the channels are IDLE. STATUS
LEDs are lit. Channel states and loop state are set to DSBL.

This will only work once all the channels are IDLE.

I'm having a job finding the correct command. I have attached the PDF file.

Thinking about this, you might have to disable each channel with the command

DSCH c ch Channel ch of Digital card is disabled. Status of the
channel is marked DSBL. (Small System)

DSCH l ch Disable channel ch of loop l.

I seem to recall that you can't disable the channel unless it's idle. You would then have to do a STAT etc to list out the current channel status.

DISI loop Disable DTI/PRI loop when all channels are idle.
The network and DTI/PRI cards are then disabled and
status LEDs are lit. Channel status is set to BSY. Enter
END to abort. When the PRI is physically connected
to a DCHI card, the D-channels must be disabled first
using LD 96.

Thanks Firebird Scrambler for the file and information and thanks KCFLHRC. I do know about manually taking down the channels and the loop but I though I have seen in the past when dealing with a busy PRI that there was a command you could enter to disable the channels in a T1/PRI as they became idle so you won't have to stare at the screen for hours waiting for a channel on a busy circuit to become idle. Thanks again for your help.

I'm not sure what you are trying to do. The command I listed does exactly what you are looking for. You disable the D-channel to stop incoming and outgoing calls, then enter the DISI command and it will disable the channels as they become idle and then finally it will disable the loop.

Okay thanks. I did not catch that the first time.

Actually the disi command disables the channels as they become idle. It's known as the graceful disabling of the loop since it doesn't interrupt calls in progress, just shuts the channel down as they become idle. When all channels become idle it disables the loop.
