Command button opening a form

I have a command button which opens a form, this subform though must relate to the main open form but in the form wizard I use the

"Open the form and find specific data to display"

In the main form list my primary key field is not displayed so I cannot link the forms accurately. The primary key is an autonumber.

The main form is based on a query and the query is based on a table. It is the underlying table which has the primary key.

Why does the form wizard not show this field even though the field is displayed on the form ?

If the list can't see it it's not there.

Check the field is on the query, if not add it and then the same for the first form. It's possible you didn't select the filed when you created the query/form Neil Berryman

It's definately there on the form though it is the only field not shown in the list.

Can you send me the form and a sample of the data and any queries the form uses?

Now sorted, the field was on the form but in a textbox called Text249 bound to Quote No so the Quote no displayed but Quote No was not the name of the box
