Comcast cutting off and then back on

Every once in a while, sometimes every 10 mins or so, sometimes every hour, my internet will stop working for anywhere between 10 seconds to 5 minutes. this is causing a huge problem because i play online video games and am getting booted from the room when this happens.i tried to speak with comcast, but not surprisingly, they were no help. ive powercycled everything and whatnot, nothing seems to be working. this just starting happening a week ago, but has become very bothersome. ive also tested other computers when mine went link dead and same problem. therefore, im assuming its my cnnection and not my router. anyone have any ideas on waht to do?

Double check to make sure that you have the latest patches on your router. I had a very similar problem using Netgear router with Comcast and it was fixed with Netgear Patch.
