ComboBox 7

Hi,

I have a ComboBox which I want to use to select codes. The RowSourceType is 2-Alias, with nothing in the RowSource property. In the form's Init event, I have selected all the records from the codebook into a cursor, and put the cursor name into the RowSource.

What I would like to be able to do is as the user types characters, the ComboBox selects into the cursor records that match what the user has typed.

Any suggestions?

As you found out the "auto-fill" combobox class proposed to you doesn't allow to add the value that was not not.

I've modified the "auto-fill" combobox class to allow to add the value if the user types-in something that wasn't found.

I have a couple more tests to run and if you are interest, let me know, I'll e-mail it to you.

BTW This class will not work (with this new feature) in VFP5.0

Already there. There are two versions faq184-1812 (the prg format including the combobox) and faq184-1792 (with the addition of having the option of adding the value not found in the source table) Mike Gagnon
