Combobox values dissapear

On opening one of my forms I have a combo box in one of it's subforms that occasionally will not dispaly the value for the linked criteria it is opened with. It will flash for a split second then disappear.

It is also quite whimsical , sometimes displaying sometimes not.
The query for this combobox contains 3 columns...
but It uses only 1 column as it's bound column.The other 2 columns is for criteria purpose.......

The bound properties is set to 1, column count properties is set to 1 and column width is set to 1". I have also tried to change the column count to 3 and set the columns width to 1";0";0" but still to no avail....

Does anyone know why this is happening as it is quite annoying.

It sounds like your combo box is being populated with a query which is sometimes vacuous ( has no hits). This will sometime flash if the DataSource is hard written and then changed by code.

The row source of this combo is taken from a query... and the combo is not bound to control source...

There is also NO codes to change the data source because its an unbound combobox.
