combobox dropdown list goes to the bottom first, why?

i am using vfp7
i have a combobox declared as 2-dropdownlist it is filled by an array of character data, 2 columns, everything is fine except when you click the down arrow it goes to the bottom of the list, i have tried the form.init with setting the index to 1 and it still goes to the bottom, anyone know what i can do to make it display at the top? thanks in advance

Did you specify a ControlSource? Is it a table/cursor field?

the controlsource is a field (8 chars) based on an updateable view
ex: v_name.v_fieldname

Hi Teresa.

The view that you are using to populate your combo's RowSOurce is probabaly either at EOF() or on the last record.

where acontents[1,2] is declared as a property of the combobox
