I'm trying to create a mini cd on my new HP Pavilion a250n computer with a dvd/cd writer/reader combo. It keeps telling me that there is nothing in the drive. I'm using Memorex 8CM CD-R Pocket disks. If anyone can help me I would be extremely grateful as I'm trying to create mini videos to send out to customers. Thanks
Susan

Not all drives are compatiable with these cd's does it write to normal cd's dvd's ?

what software are you using?
if you are not using any burning ROM software to read the empty disks e.g. Nero, then when you insert the disk into the drive, windows will see it as if you have nothing in the drive.

Did you check whether it supports that kind of media?

I had this problem with Roxio Easy CD Creator 5.0, until I upgraded to 5.3.2.4. Now it works.

Turns out my writer/reader doesn't like the Memorex 8CM CD-R Pocket disks. I changed to the Maxell Mini CD-R and it works fine now. Finicky little things aren't they?
