I have set up a combo box where by I have entered the items I want in it when I was setting it up. Is there anyway in which the user can add to this list my typing in a new value for it within the combo box when the form is being run.

Thank u.

To do this most easily, it is usually best to base your combo box on a simple table, which holds your list of items. Then when the user enters a new item, you can use the NotInList event to add the data to the table. There are a ton of examples available for using NotInList event. Kathryn

Im using code strait from an example that is working wonderfully. Access 2000 example. Note: it worked much better when I used the find and replace after pasting it in. I must be terrable at writing code!!! but it works great, double clicking on the combo opens a form for a table, add what you want, close it and your entrys are there! in your combo box!. now if only I could get a simple Multiselect list box to work I would be king of the world!LOL
