I know one of you is going to make me feel real stupid about this question....but here goes.

I have a table called Components, which has a list of components and an ID number for each one.

On my form, I have a combo box for components, which when selected will be inserted into another table.

I have set up a hand held scanner, so the user can scan the selection from the dropdown.......but for barcoding ease, instead of creating a barcode for each component, I created a barcode for 1, 2, 3, etc. I want the user to scan the ID number, and the Corresponding Component to appear in the Combo box........any ideas?
