Combo Box selection repeated in all records - change won't save. 1

I am a very new user and this may be a simple fix I have missed. I have created a combo box which uses another table for its data. When I go to "form" view and select a choice from the combo box, it changes all the previous and next records. I want the selection from the combo box to be unique for each record. Thank you!

I have combo box named Category. The box is a drop-down list containing client types. When I select, for example, "developer" in the form for record no. 1. Then it changes all subsequent records to "developer". Then if I change record no. 2 to "tenant". It changes record no.1 from "developer" to "tenant", as well as all other records.

Is this what you meant by "more specific", or do you need how I set it up and the combo box properties?

Okay, sorry I still don't quite understand.

When you select a value in the combo box, do you want to display all related data in a subform or you want to add data?

It seems to m that you don't have the control source set to any particular field.

This means that the combo box is not saving it's value for the current record anywhere.
