I am creating a database for the identification of grasses and need to use combo boxes so as the user can choose between one of two options for 12 categories. However, because the options are so long the combo box thinks that there are actually four different options. I have stretched the combo box in the builder as long as possible. Can anyone out there help?

Thank You
          FoxStudent
              Ireland

Try to use a smaller font or somehow abbreviate an option name. Good luck!

If its that big I'd tie in an edit box too. No wonder I didn't take biology <s> That is if you're options are all singularly that long like
Hippoptonosisus-Prmiscus-Discus-What-is-thiscus-its-so longus-that-it-wrapsus-aroundus

If you are concatenating or adding several options together like opt1 + opt 2 etc you may want to look at the treeview control. Where there's a will there's usually a way <g>
John Durbin

ICQ VFP ActiveList #73897253

Have you thought about using the option group control instead of the combo box. It there are only a couple of options that might work better and you could use the auto size property to get the length in.
Tom Gahagan
edrest@alltel.net

REST
