Combo Box -Dropdown (Clear on Click)

I have a Combo Box.. and have set Combo22.dropdown
This combo box finds a record in the current table, and displays the data.
If i click on an item in the dropdown list, the dropdown list remains there until i click somewhere else on the form.

Is there a way of clearing the dropdown, when an item is clicked.

Appreciate any help..

Hi.
I was unable to duplicate this problem in Access2000.
Could you have something on the "On Click" line in the properties sheet for the combo box? What happens if you double click the selection?

I created a combobox and set it's dropdown method to occur when I clicked anywhere in the form. I was able to duplicate your problem in Access97 only after I locked the field. As long as the field was unlocked, the list went away after I selected a list item. ljprodev@yahoo.com

Sorry, this is my fault.
I placed the .dropdown in Change Event
Put back in Before Update, and all was ok.

Must have had a brain , lapse!!
