I have a form with an unbound combo box and I want it to show one of the items on the list as a default selection when the current record appears. How can I make it show say, the second record in the conbo box?

Hi,

Insert this into 'Default Value' property of your combo...

[cmbMyCombo].[ItemData](0)

Where 'cmbMyCombo' is the name of your combo box, and (0) means 1st row, (1) means 2nd row etc. or: dependant on your settings (if not default) then (1) may mean row 1, (2) may mean row 2 etc.

Hope this helps,

Regards,

Thank you. That works beautifully!
