If I do this:

select 'here' as col1

select 'here2' as col1

it outputs two different resultsets. Is there a way to make this output one resultset with two rows (instead of two resultsets with one row each)?

Thanks!

WoodyGuthrie,

I think you may have misinterpreted the intent. Everyone is welcome here. This includes developers that have been using SQL Server for years, and those that are just beginning to learn it.

If you read each thread that mentions Uncle Rico carefully, you should notice that each one could (and probably is) considered helpful to the person that originally asked the question.

Certainly, being laughed at is not fun. In light of that, I will attempt to tone down on that behavior. Today was a bit of an odd day, for sure. There were more cursor questions today than normal.

Personally, I've never used cursors...Thank God! I might have been laughed right out off the forum.

I don't believe this to be true. If you post a legitimate question that is... "I have this cursor, can you help me get rid of it." I can almost guarantee that nobody would laugh at you. I know I wouldn't!

Uncle Rico to me is a mythical figure that I will tell my grandkids about (if I have any). The guy or gal who is so convinced they are always right, that they will do things wrong forever. "Be careful, or you will end up like Uncle Rico". I see no problem with laughing at this.

If you guys do feel free to red flag my post.
