combining first and last name

I want to combine the fields First and Last name into one field called Full name. I tried using a calculation but the field stays empty for some reason

What am I doing wrong?

Did you check the result type? By default it is set to number, if it is change it to text.

Ah, the problem was I needed to use the & sign not the + sign
