Hello everybody.

I'm new to Sharepoint and find it quite hard to find help or good tutorials on the topic.
I'm trying to create a solution for a company with a simple site and different sub sites. I use two default site templates: "Timecard management" and "Budgeting and Tracking Multiple Projects".

In the Project site there's a list to enter all projects with title, start date and so on.
The timecard management has a separate list with projects (title and estimated hours).

Now my question: Is it possible to modify the timecard management site so that it accesses the project list of the other site?
With this solution the projects could be saved and updated at one place instead of two.

I have already tried several things and spent many hours but I can't find anything. So if you have a hint or know a tutorial please post it here. I would be very grateful!
Thanks!

Rolf

Lookup columns don't work cross site.
There are 3rd party solutions that should provide that functionality. Google cross site lookups.

If both list were in the same site, you could provide that lookup.

You could move the lists under one site and provide a link from that site to the new lists.
