COM vs ActiveX question

Hello,

I am creating a control for graphing. I need to pass objects to this control that I have defined in a class. This means I cannot use activeX but can use COM. So I am debating if I should change my code to work with activeX or if I should try out COM. Which is the standard? Which should I use?

ActiveX is COM. It just means a COM object which implements one or more ActiveX interfaces in order to represent itself as some kind of ActiveX control.
