I'm trying to dial in hyperaccess 2.10 but get the following error " There is not a port named com 3 available" for the modem that I'm dialling I can only use com 3. I've of course rebooted the machine to see if the port was some how in use and would be freed up but that didn't work. I made sure the port was indeed added. Any suggestions????

I had this problem before, mostly on laptops. For some reason particular companies distribute them with the com ports disabled in the BIOS. This has caused, in my case anyway, a great deal of problemd setting up modems and palm units.

This might be worth a check if all other options have failed.

Cheers.
