Hi,
I've a problem with columns. I need to create a page with a different numerb of colums. The first part of the text is a normal one (only one column) then I'have a little box with two or three columns and at the end the page should come back with only one column. I can't use tables because of footnotes problems (in the text there are a lot of footnotes and tables are a problem).
Can you help me?
Thank you in advance.

Filippo

Draw a seperate Text frame (using your type tool) then, with the text frame selected got to Object Text Frame Options. You add coloumns in there.

You then link them together so you end up with this:

Thank you.
Maybe I did a mistake but I still have problems with footnotes. I have a lot of footnotes in the first and in the last part (indesign imported them with no problems), but I've notes in the two column section too, so I should respect the sequence number.
Trying to do what you suggested Indesign didn't manage automatically the footnotes in the two column section (footnotes in the two column section appear like a different box not numbered in sequence qith the other).
Any solution?
Thank you in advance and sorry for my english.
