I am after a control (or anything else for that matter) that will allow me to display a grid of information stored in a recordset and to set the colour of each cell based on information related to that record.

An example would be a grid representing rows and columns of shelving. The recordset would have information regarding the name and stock numbers of items belonging in the shelves. The grid will display the name and change the colour depending on the stock levels.

Is this possible with a control in Access or do I have to look elsewhere to deliver this type of solution?

Thanks,

Arthur.

You could try a datagrid or Flexgrid control, available in the selection of ActiveX controls in the toolbax. Some of these allow cells to be formatted according to their contents. Have fun!)

Hi

I need to color each character in on cell with different color.
Do you know if is possible to make it in flex grid or if exist another grid control able for that ?

Thanks Mihai

No, I don't know of any control that allows you to do that. They allow per cell formatting. That's not to say there may be one out there somewhere, but I reckon you will have to pay in the order of $300-400 for something as flexible as that. Have fun!)

Thanks Alex. I had thought those would be the most likely candidates but weren't sure if they provided the necessary flexibility.

I'll see how I go.

Arthur.
