colors in PP11 different then colors outside!

i changed this in photopaint 8 but once i upgraded it to 11 i didnt remember how. the colors you see and use in photo paint aren't the same outside of the program. if i choose a pretty color in photopaint and then export it as a jpeg the pretty color is a different color when viewing outside of the program. how do i make it so that red is red and not red is a lighter less contrasted red in photopaint 11?
please help it would be greatly appreciated! it makes it hard to design websites when they arent the colors you picked out...
 
i figured it out! so in case anyone else has the same problem with the colors being calibrated heres what to do!
go to tools>color management then click on the arrow right above monitor (with generic profile) click ok and then the colors should be back to normal and not be wonky anymore!
