Coloring Shared Borders 1

I'd like to make my top and left shared border black, and make the body of my page white. If I give the theme a black background to color the borders, the body is black too.

Can I do this?

In 2002, you can color the shared borders (Borders Properties). However, it won't work unless your provider has 2002 extensions installed. As an alternate until this happens, insert a table into the shared border and change the color of the cell.

If you have shared borders set up "left and top", right click the borders and click on borders property, a box will pop up letting you set the color and or image that you would like to have as a background and the boarder.

-FP 2002 is not available, so I went with the table inside the left border option. Thx. Paul

I right clicked the shared border. The shortcut menu has options for Page, font, hyperlink, navigation, but no option for formatting or background in FP 2000. Am I missing something?

Now that I have the shared borders colored black with a table... The body background will be white most of the time. On an occasion, I want it to be black too. I inserted a table into the body and turned it black, but there's a narrow vertical strip between the body and the left border which stays white (or whatever the theme background color is). I can't access it. Any ideas?

did you get rid of the cellpadding/spacing in your tables?
