I have installed Gnome 2.0 for my Solaris 8 machine, and I'm trying to change my color palette. It's pretty obvious that I'm not using a 24-bit or higher palette...going from CDE to Gnome I can tell that I'm missing colors. Now that I am installing the SunPCi software, it's become a real problem...the program window for this is a completely blank, black screen in Gnome when running. I have to go back to CDE to use the SunPCi, where it looks just fine.

This would seem like a really simple setting to make, but I can't find it anywhere. How DO I do change the color settings on Gnome 2.0? Thanks in advance!

My system:
Solaris 8, patched and current
Gnome 2.0 for Solaris
Sun Ultra10 Creator 3D
Sun PCi II

orbnsc,

Check out thread60-580265, this sounds like the same problem I had.
