I have a subform that I want to color code a field if it has a value at all. So there are times a record will contain Yes otherwise it will be blank. So the field can always be set to the same color - red. In desgin mode it is red but when I view the form it is not. I've read other posts where people also have had issues but cannot find a solution. I also noticed some solutions pertain to continuous forms and I am not even sure where that is defined. Would anyone know how to help? Thanks.

Did you try conditional format ?

Hope This Helps, PH.

I haven't, and I don't even know where that is defined. Can you point me in the right direction?
Thanks!

I found the conditional formatting and put Condition 1 Field Value is equal to Yes, then clicked B and red for A (text) and it still didn't hold in form view. I read a bit about trying Continuous Forms and tried to change and when I changed that for the main form view it gave me an error that you can't view a form as a continuous form if it contains a subform. To change it to a Single Form, Datasheet, Pivottable or pivotchart. The defaullt view for the main form is single form and the for the subform it is datasheet.

I changed my subform to a continuous form and it did display the field in red. For this application having a list of many rows is much better than just seeing a single view of each row. I wonder if there is a way around the issue in Datasheet view.
