Collecting mac address

Hi all,

I have to collect the mac address of the nics from all clients. While collecting i have to collect the computer names too. Is there anyone who knows how to do that?

Try this IP Scan tool, Angry IP Scanner.

It will resolve host name MAC, and a bunch of other stuff you never thought you wanted.

thx but this did not solve my problem because firewall installed at the client machines. and if there is no reply to ping this tool doesnt try to solve the hostname.

i think i'm gonna allow icmp packets for a period of time, get the mac address and hostnames and then disable icmp again.

Why not write a little script that reads the info from the registry and then writes it out to a text file.... ?
