Does anyone know if there is a way to alter the time delay which follows a collect digit step without rewriting the vector steps? Is there a system setting which controls this delay?

Hi
Yes you can change the length of time the PBX waits to collect the digits before moving onto the next step in the the vector by altering the "Prompting Timeout" in" system-parameters features" under Vectoring..

VECTORING
Converse First Data Delay: 0 Second Data Delay: 2
Converse Signaling Tone (msec): 100 Pause (msec): 70
Prompting Timeout (secs): 6

Hope this helps PBX

Thanks PBX - that is very useful information.
I have checked this setting and it allows 10 seconds. That does indeed seem to be the case provided the caller actually starts entering the required digits. However, if they have not yet keyed any digits, the vector moves to the next announcement in about 3 seconds. Where can I change this delay to give a little more time?

You can try putting a silence step between both.

I've decided just to have the announcements re-recorded with a three seconds silence at the end to allow the extra time...unless anyone thinks this a bad idea!

Not a bad idea, but for future reference between steps just put a 'wait-time x secs hearing silence' command

I wasn't sure if that would add to the time allowed before first digit was input - but I will keep in mind for future.
Thanks to all!
