Cognos Upgradation !!!!!!

Hi Guys,

My name is Vamsi and am new to this Forum. I am working in B5 company and have a doubt that, can we install two different Cognos versions (V 6.0 and v 7.0) on same machine. Because we are using 6.0 version for some projects and 7.0 version for comming projects. We are using Windows2K OS and Oracle 8.1.6 is DB. Please let me know ASAP...

You can have multiple versions of COGNOS products but not of the same product. i.e. you cannot have Impromptu version 6 and 7 installed and running on the same server. But you can have Impromptu 7.0 and Powerplay 6.1 on the same server

Thanx for solution. Also plz let me know the solution for my problem. My problem is :

I installed Cognos version 7.0 on Windows 2000 server OS. Everything was installed including Netscape Directory Server. But the problem is I could not able to configure the Directory server. How can I do it ? Plz let me know the solution ASAP....

You can use the configuration Manager. Configuration Manager allows you to congigure all COGNOS products/components
