Is there a current method or upcoming method to detect Cognos job failures (via email notification etc.) in Cognos?

We have on multiple occasions now inadvertently published incorrect results because of scheduled jobs failing in Cognos. Is Cognos able to provide anything to us regarding this issue?

The root point of failure was in our own lack of validation however had a failure message been received it is likely certain data would never have been published.

Catching these failures, would be a major step toward improving the outgoing validity of our reports.

Any suggestion is appreciated? Thanks pros.

Yes, you would want to visit the documentation on Event Management. You can create a task in Event Studio that will monitor success and failure for various activities that are logged to your Audit datbase. This will also mean that you'll need to have logging turned on in your Cognos Connection server settings.
