Dear All,
I would like to know if impromptu(6) support Oracle
Database view ot not. As I created view in Oralce, when I wanna to use the view in Cognos->tables(I couldnt that view)
How could I use database view?

The Impromptu Catalog needs to be updated with the addition of the new view. See your catalog administrator.

As well, if you are permitted to enter SQL on the Profile|Sql tab, you may write your own SQL.

In Impromptu, before you open the catalog, select Tools--> Options.

Uncheck "Retrieve database tables when editing catalog tables"

Open the catalog. Select Catalog-->Tables.

There will now be a "Retrieve Tables" button below the Database Tables listbox. Click the button and select the database objects you want to see (check views in the User column).

Click Retrieve and add the view to your catalog.

HTH,

Justin
