check if when the report was published you correctly specified the user access.
ie., did u map it to CREATOR or gave it an implicit mapping.

If this error appears the moment you try to run a report in upfront then it should be something to do with Userclass.

May be this helps.

try to open the report with impserver.exe. When the application is open press ctrl+O (open) and browse to the report that causes problems. If you here get errors, the problem is the connection, userclass mapping, password or corrupt report.
