Cognos BI 8.3 Now Available

Hi All,

Our user group received a demo of 8.3 recently and we were advised by an offical Cognos rep that the "core product" became available last Friday.

......just finished downloading all the docs. There's a 55 page "New Features" pdf available.

They've also introduced an "Upgrade Manager". This should make life a little easier.

A little summary of the new features:
- Total integration of Transformer (Security, Publication of cubes...)
- Mode "with no data" in Analysis Studio
- Mode Report Studio Express (like an enhanced Analysis Studio)

Sorry, I'm not going to freely distribute something Cognos keeps under lock and key.
I would suggest you contact your Cognos rep (if you have one) and see if you can obtain
copies from him/her......
