I have a report that expects a to and from date range.
I have 2 date prompts in the header of the report that satisfy the query parameters ?p_startdate?, ?p_enddate?

This report is a tabbed report in a larger tabbed dashboard. I have many reports in this dashboard and they are all dependent on a couple of parameters p_branch, p_site that I satisfy on the first tab of the dashboard with a couple of dropdown prompts.

Now after this dashboard has worked for weeks I try to add this new report that needs date prompts satisfied so I add a couple of date prompts on my main "prompt" tab, but after selecting all values on my prompt page, when I click the tab with the new report requiring the date values, I get the auto prompt page requesting a start and end date.

Why are my date prompts not passing thru?
Can I stop these auto prompt pages from appearing?

As mentioned I also have the date prompts in the report header, so the user can change the dates and reprompt as desired.

Thx,
Russell

If I read your question correctly...

Check to make sure that your naming conventions are consistent. You should have only one common name for each date value. If they aren't you will be prompted twice. IN some prior versions of Cognos there was a bug and you had to delete the prompts and re-enter them to avoid the double prompting.
