in your old post, you guide mrdom thru the steps for his situation;
I am new to working on the phone systems and not sure what the #xxx steps are. Is that short for FEATURE or some other system sequence?
I seem to be having a very similar issue, but not sure how to apply your fix.
 
In programming a Partner, you start from Ext. 10 or 11, and go System Programming with Feature 00, Left Intercom Twice

Now you dial # and the 3-digit code, and depending on which code you are working on, perhaps and extension number, line number, parameter, etc.

Grab the ACS manual from support.avaya.com and look in the programming section. Look up each of the program codes, and you will see the proper syntax.

Post back with specific questions.

I see that this was totally my fault. As I said, new to phone systems.
I didnt see how to apply your fix b/c it was not for my system. I have a Nortel MICS NT7B53 w/ s/w ver; SP:3NdG04

VoiceMail Startalk Flash.

Problem is incoming calls ring 2 times at most and then go to VM. If the receptionist forwards to alt dn for lunch, then it rings once at alt dn and then goes to VM.
I have tried looking thru system to change ringer times, but nothing I find seems to have any affect.

Can you point me in the right direction?

#506 is for vms hunt delay, or how many rings before the AA answers.
 
you need to either log into the startalk flash and change the timer for Auto attendant from 2 rings to 4 rings. This is done using Feature 983 then you need the password OR change the call forward timer under set capabilities.
