yeah using extended characters and wingdings is the simplest and most bandwidth-friendly way to use shapes casually, but if you want some more control and accuracy you'll need to turn to javascript of flash (and as i stated earlier, hopefully svg! ).

How do you make the triangle with the special characters? Can you also make an oval? Thanks
