I need to allow a user to select a Microsoft Word file from a directory and output the properties such as Author, Created Date, Last Modified....

I have started using Borland C++ version 5.01 (old, yes I know). Can someone assist me in writing this code?

Many thanks in advance,
Al

You should be able to get these from the system commands. I think they are things like cdir ... directory list... etc. If you lookup directory in the help you should find them there. Microsoft has such a set of commands and borland usually wrote them first and Microsoft adds them, in this case though these are very basic.

If you want to get fancy you can even us MS Word through activeX and open documents... etc, but that is another conversation. Good luck.
