Hi...I have a database where various applications/documents can be opened by clicking on the command button. What I want to do is have the option to be able to open the application/document by pressing the ALT key + a letter.
For example, I have a command button to open Excel application by clicking on the button. What I want is to open the Excell application by pressing ALT+E.
I can simply use a number on it's own but the maximum is 0-9. I need to able to have more.
I would appreciate some help please. Thanks

You can add an ampersand (&) to the caption:

C&ommand

Which shows as:

Command

And activates as alt+O

Be careful to use obscure letters, rather than say, F, which is the file menu.

You may also wish to consider AutoKeys.

Thanks Remou. That works fine without having to use the ALT key.

How do I use AutoKeys and how would it work? Thanks

You will need Alt if a textbox or other data entry control has the focus.
