CO VoiceMail ??

I have a user who has two offices, both with CO voicemail. One office is centrex, the other is a pots line. He says when he is at office A & tries to check voicemail for office B, it does not say any messages received or stored.....when in fact there are messages. It will not even let him press 1 to listen to stored messages. This happens for each office vice versa. He has to call from his cellphone to check for new messages since that works. Any ideas?
 
Call the CO they have the VM thru. They should be able to give a reason.
 
Call repair service and report the problem, or for some reason they may have an alternate procedure to access the VMB when not calling from the same line.

In either case they should help you.

I agree with SYQUEST - you don't say if you are dialing a 7-digit or 10-digit local number to check or you are dialing a speed code like *80 or something. If you are using the speed codes they are usually programmed for you to be on the line where the VM is - if you are outside of your office there is usually a different number to dial. I don't see why a normal number wouldn't work from anywhere if you are dialing that, unless you are using an 800 number that is area restricted or something.

He was using the local access numbers 704-xxx-xxxx when I last checked. That's the only way he knows how. Hmmm..
 
its always best to go to the site and see whats actually happening rather than taking the customers interpretation

often times its a simple step the customer is leaving out

have you tried to access it from your line ?
