Hello! AgainšŸ˜

Is there a feature on kx ns300 where i can configure the CO line?

The CO line is disconnecting prematurely when no answer like 30 or 40 sec.

Thank you!

Stay safe everyone!

There is a few areas where lines are configured,
Slot then under the card and also on the left pane there is CO and Incoming Call.
There is also trunk group settings under groups

The issue sounds like it could be with your call flow or a line fault however, more information would be great

Thank you for the reply.

I have a reply a while ago but i'll revise. it was vague. [peace]
I've concluded that the CO line was the problem but after going through the reply of CMUK. and going through the process of the call. I thought what if it's not the CO. so:

Is there a setting in kx ns300 that will terminate a CO call when it is not answered in a specified time?

Thank you and stay safe!

The only way the system will disconnect a call is if itā€™s going to a group with a queuing table to answer then disconnect.

Other way would be a device on the system doing it.

It could be the provider having a time out on the exchange to keep resources free

I am presuming they are analogue lines on the system, if so disconnect from the system and put a standard phone directly on the line and see if it times out

thank you for the reply.

yes, the co lines are analog. when connected directly with a standard phone. the line times out when caller hook-on the phone.

here is a view of the set up:

CO line (call) ---> [PABX (configured features: DISA-ICDG-DIL)] ---> operator

before, outside calls with DISA do not disconnect (continuous ringing) to the operator unless somebody pick up the call.

now, when there is an outside call with DISA to the operator and the phone is not picked -up. the call disconnects automatically in like 30 sec. it is good that the call disconnects if not picked-up but i need to make the time longer like 60 secs.

somebody said about setting in a " no answer" config. i'm a noob i'm not yet familiar with the system:))

thank you in advance for any advice.

This is a usual problem for combination of analogue CO-lines and DISA.

There are 3 ways to solve such problem.
1) To use "Calling Party Control (CPC)" or "Polarity reverse" feature of PBX (if your TSP supports one of them)
2) To use an external device such as "Busy tone detector" that should be installed onto analogue CO-line before your PBX. This device can "hear" a busy tone or silence in the line and generates one of above signals (CPC or Reverse)
3) The most popular way is to use an ICD group with an activated queuing time table (QTT) that has sequences like "Wait for xx sec", then "OGMxx" and "Disconnect". If you use such scheme you just need to find the correct QTT and change current "Wait" timer to the timer you want.

Telephone communication like an air: you do not notice it until you spoil it.

Thank you for the elaboration.
This was the solution to my problem. I used the QTT feature.
