cmsadm backup

Have CMS Emulator Rel 11 and CMS Supervisor Rel 13. Want to do a cmsadm backup where I will log in as root.

Will log in to CMS Emulator as root and perform the cmsadm backup. With these versions, will cmsadm backup be service affecting in any way? Need to know if users logged in will be able to stay logged in and if it affects data collection in any way? Any info appreciated. Thanks.

You shouldn't have any performance issues with running backups during working hours on the above releases. People attempting to login whilst the backup is running will be stopped.
I try to run all my backups out of hours but have done during office hours and never had any issues.

While in 615C emulation I press F3 then choose UNIX(r) system. Then log in as su root and perform the cmsadm.

The only problem with doing this backup during business hours is people can't log in while the backup is running.
