Have a CMS server (Sun Netra 210) that crashed and we had to replace the drives. Reloaded V13 and applied the V13.1 patch but realized we lost the license file during the hard drive crash. This switch hasn't been on Avaya maintenance for 2 years so Avaya is giving us the runaround on setting up the features via the auth_set command. They only want to upgrade the client's CMS software and take them from CM2.1 to CM5 and get maintenance back - but that isn't going to happen due to budget issues.

Any CMS techs out that that can help?

hi,

Just what settings do you need help on?

Your post is a bit vauge.

[Started on Version 3 software 15 years a go]

We need to setup the # of agents - supervisors - enable features etc. ... only can do that thru the auth_set command.

Sounds like you didn't restore the CMS system from backup. Just re-installed from original materials. If they have backup tapes then restore both system and admin. If you don't have backups then escalate the process with Avaya - you can prove (contracts?) that they were licensed so offer Time and Materials to have them re-authorize.

No excuse not to have backups.
