I'm an experienced web designer who is just getting his feet wet in the world of CMS systems. I've had some experience in creating basic sites in Joomla and Plone, but am now faced with the monumental task of creating a few CMS pages for the site I am currently building.
The site itself will have 9 html pages. However, they want to be able to update 4 of them by their ownselves. They have no experience or knowledge of html much less GUI programs like Dreamweaver or Frontpage. My first thought was to try something in Joomla, but now I'm not so sure I can create a template that will fit with the design I already have.

My idea is that everything will be static on the CMS portion for the end user but they will be able to update text in the off-tan section in the middle. Again, my first thought was to use the article function in Joomla for this. However, my problem is I'm not up to speed enough on creating templates in Joomla to match with my current design (and this current design is strictly html).
My question: is Joomla the right CMS tool for what I want to accomplish, or is there an easier solution? I realize there are thousands of Joomla templates out there but a) I can't find one that fits the framework of my current design and b) I wouldn't know how to customize a template to save my skin. Are there any other CMS systems besides Joomla that would be easier?
