CMS Supervisor for Dummies?

I'm a little perplexed at CMS Supervisor and call vector/skill reporting. Since realistically this is my first foray into working with Definity systems (and so far no luck pounding out training with management) I need to get a functional knowledge of CMS reporting soon

Are there any quick-and-dirty manuals or instructionals floating around for Reporting in CMS? Also, I noticed I could log into CMS via TELNET as an administrator there, but I can't seem to find a login our previous guy used to get into CMS Supervisors GUI interface and make changes there.

Maybe I'm confused how this whole thing works. Can anyone clue me in?

When you say you are able to login to CMS using Telnet as an administrator, do you mean you can access the CMS Solaris environment, or you are able to launch the CMS application?

Are you using the cms login name or root?

I could telnet into the Solaris environment using cms/root, and earlier this morning I was able to (finally) find a way to log into the CMS GUI as an administrator by doing some funky voodoo (manual login, cms/password, cvsup for terminal, creating a new supervisory account) - I didn't even know about this second method of login till earlier, our previous guy didn't leave me a note about that little gem

But it looks like for the most part I was able to get into everything this way, so I have access to custom reports and stuff in the visual aspect of CMS Supervisor.

If you login as root and type 'su -c cms' you will take on the charastics of the cms login. At the $ prompt type 'cms'.
