HI
I am trying to auto script a monthly or weekly report using windows schedular to print the correct report data.I have autoscripted a monthly report and set the report in the windows scheduling task to print the next month, but I am confused how you tell the cms report or the scheduler to print the correct monthly data.Has anybody done this please or advise me how i could do this

Daryl

You did that when you set up the script. With the weekly it is fairly straight forward. Select the day you want to run the report every week for the prior week and then subtract the days back to the start of that week (in your CMS system the programmed first day of the week). So for instance if your first day of the week is programmed as Sunday, and you want to run your program on Monday for the week prior you would enter the date as -8. If you wanted to do it on Tuesday -9 etc. and then schedule it to run every Monday at 8:30am for instance.

The monthly reports are a bit different since there is different number of days in the month. So you would need to set up a report based on the months and then put -30 or -31 in the date field (and then there is February too!) and then select the months (i.e. the ones with 31 days) that you want that that script to run in. Then you would have to set up the other months with 30 days and February.

Monthly report running is awful in CMS, should have a minus 1 month option like they do for days. I have to change my scripts manually every month and waste a half a day in the process.
