CMS host file config

Hi,

I need to configure a new CMS Rel 16.1. Pls confirm if the following is correct. Do i need edit /etc/resolvconf as well?

vi /etc/hosts

127.0.0.1 localhost
10.22.8.232 abc-wic-cms abc-wic-cms.coo.com loghost --customer lan
192.168.4.7 abc-wic-cms-clan---private lan to clan
192.168.4.6 switch--clan IP
10.22.8.254 router--default gateway

Vi defaultrouter

10.22.8.254

vi netmasks

10.22.8.0 255.255.255.0

vi nodename

abc-wic-cms

vi hostname.e1000go

abc-wic-cms


What should be e1000g1 interface ? and i dont see hostanme @ the solaris prompt.

e1000g0 & e1000g1 are the names assigned to the ethernat ports.

Thanks 4merAvaya,

I assume 2nd NIC is for CLAN.

So my parametes are correct except for 2nd nic gateway.

For some reason it doesnt show hostname at the prompt.
