I have a CM 6.2 with an embedded CMM. When callers transfer into the Voicemail after 4 rings, its asking for an extension instead of just tranferring into the voicemail and letting you leave a message. Is there a fix for this?

Please Advise

Did it start doing this out of the blue, or is this a new installation? Is this occurring to all users or just a certain group/range of numbers?

It sounds like integration might not be all the way set up.

Do you see the extension range show in "cha private" (assuming the trunk group is set for private numbering)?

This is a new install. Below is a Li trace.

Did you follow the implementation guide step by step?

I would definitely say that
16:20:26 denial event 2209: Msg'ing Hunt Grp Xln Bad D1=0x4 D2=0x820063
is part of the problem. I don't really have any good answer though other than you should double check all your settings (for example, I don't see any caller ID passing over that trunk).

Calling Number & Name NO-CPNumber NO-CPName is missing.
you need to check messaging trunk-group for private or public numbering
setup your extensions that do not work to look like the extensions that do work.

Typically that's your first step with "open tree" in voicemail - check your private numbering table - make sure you're sending the extensions over the voicemail trunk properly.

The denial means...
An fp-mwi, qsig-mwi, or sip-adjunct messaging hunt group does not route over the correct trunking facility.

Is your voicemail trunk's numbering type "private" and do you have what is needed in your private unknown numbering table to send the appropriate digits to voicemail?

Can you key in the mailbox number of the person once in voicemail, leave a meassage, get MWI, and call back into voicemail, key in your extn and password and retrieve msgs and turn off mwi?
