I have a Nortel CS1K connected to Session Manager via SIP trunks. Any outbound calls to the PSTN go through our CM6 system also connected to SM via SIP trunks. When an outside call is made from a CS1K phone, the CS1K is sending the calling number (123-456-7890) to be used since I can not control this in CM using the Public Unknown table. In CM, I am inserting a 9 in the Incoming Trunk treatment table for the SIP trunk to allow ARS to route the calls out through the PRIs on our G450s. The calls are routed out to the PSTN correctly but for some reason, a 9 is also inserted in the calling number so the caller ID comes across as 912-345-67890.
When I dial from a CM phone, I can control the calling number and that goes out correctly, this only happens when an outbound call comes in from the CS1K system. Also, there are no PSTN trunks on the CS1K system so all outbound calls go throgh CM6. Avaya is telling me it's a configuration issue. Has anyone seen this behavior before? Here's a copy of a trace showing this:
18:34:06 dial 915622222222 route:ARS
