Anyone can share their configuration on this kind of setup under S8730 with G450 remote gateways?

There is really no "setup", enable the Processor Ethernet on each S8730, with equal priority, have your G450 use the common shared IP address for the gatekeeper registation address, and make sure you do an "ip license-server" to enable the G450 to act as an IPSI replacement, to provide you your serial # to register your S8730 license to.

Hi Mitch,

Have you tried performing this on a S8730? Did you manage to register a G450? On what interface did you tap the Processor ethernet on the Web Interface "Configure server

I have done it with the S8510 with CM 5.2 (which is just a Dell 1950), You use the "Corporate LAN" interface, or you could enable "CN-C". I don't think you will have any issues, just make sure you use the shared virtual IP. It would be important to NOT use a dedicated control network for the control, as the IP phones will need a way to get to the G450 for VoIP, or they won;t work.

This brings up a similar question for me. I have an S8510 with G450s and am curious as to what exactly the Corporate Lan Interface is used for. Right now I have my server set up on a "voice" network using private IP addresses. My customer wants me to assign the server to a corporate VLAN so it can be accessed remotely by their IT folks for administration, etc. Would I instruct them to assign this server using that corp Lan Interface? Right now, the identity is set to default ethernet port 0 and it is not being used. He wants to change its identity to port 3 and assign a corporate Lan address, etc. I'm not sure what impact this will have. It doesnt sound like it will work to me but not sure. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.

huh? the "Corporate LAN" interface is what the client is using in house, to connect their IP phones, computers running IP softphone, etc. larger clients may have separate voice/data LANs, but you also administer the switch via ASA via this, etc.
