Anybody has same problem?
After upgrading to cm2.2, customers calling are unable to ear busy tone after ringing.
Acording to our business roles, depending on agent availabilty we decide disconnect customer, before answer the call, with a simple vector treatment :
01 wait 2 seconds earing ringing
02 busy

Customer receives 'ringing' continuosly and no busy tone!!

Any suggest or workaround?
Thanks in advance,

First, the business logic seems pretty rude, HOWEVER, local customs may vary.

Besides that, you have possible technical issues.

What type of trunks are they?

Even with this call treatment, I know that, if they are analog(ground or loop start), you can't apply a busy with vectoring. The ringing is coming from the central office, and the PBX can only ignore the call or answer it. The system has to play an announcement or answer the call with an IVR or agent to answer the ringing from the CO and complete the connection before you can do anything else.

Since I've never tried this strange treatment anyway, I'll have to guess what would happen with T1/E1. It's possible that a similar situation could happen. The central office may not let you apply a busy after accepting the call with a ring. They are different signalling messages, and I'm not sure the protocol will let you do this.

Do you get a busy if you send a

disconnect after announcement none

in place of the busy ?

Try it, this has happened to me a couple of times. Seems that there is something in the busy signal that 'some' networks cannot interpret - no idea why I am afraid. There is probably a setting somewhere determining the busy you are sending, if I had time I would look it up for you :)

thanks for quick answer Bernie/BIS,
Initital configuration is E1, and only change is upgrade PBX to CM2.2; before this, same vectoring worked fine, (so we assume that network is able to accept busy after ringing).
I'll try that BIS suggests in place of busy.
