Anybody has some documents regarding this, I went through the web page of Avaya but I couldn't find was I'm looking for.
I'll appreciated if anybody can provide with some information.
communication manager standard is for customers with standalone pbx systems or small telephony networks consisting of few switches. cmee is, as it goes, for large enterprises with heavy networking needs. in short, there are only few differences between cm and cmee:
1. in cmee, the full capacity h.323 ip trunks is there by default. in cm, you only get 10 ip trunks with base license, if you want more you should buy 'em for $0. funny but true.
2. in cmee you have dcs and dcs+, in cm you don't.
3. in cmee you have full set of q.sig features and only basic call setup in cm. there's a trick with s8300 and s8400 cm4: when you buy a standalone cm you have an entitlement for ia770 voice mail for every system user. ia770 requires q.sig ip trunks to work. so in fact when you buy s8300/s8400 cm4 (not enterprise) AND you exploit that entitlement you'll get not only q.sig basic call setup but supplementary services as well and in most cases it's enough for q.sig trunks. nice, eh?
4. in cmee, any kind of lsp and ess license price is $0. in cm, it can be as low as couple hundred for s8300/g250 lsp and as high as $40k for ess. so if you plan to have an ess or even more than one, cmee should be lots cheaper.
well, maybe there are some other differences i can't remember offhand but these are major decision points.
and of course, cm and cmee user licenses have different price.
